Free Art & Wine Walk Launches 2012 Events at Freshfields Village
The Art & Wine Walk at Freshfields Village is back for its seventh year, with a celebration that marries wine, art, music, and more! Residents and visitors are invited to watch live art demonstrations and view works from local and visiting artists in participating stores. The event is free and takes place February 17, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

All Roads Lead to Kiawah as the PGA Kicks Off the 2012 Season!
PGA tour professionals have a long road ahead of them as the 2012 competitive season officially kicked off earlier this month at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. The journey will lead golfers thousands of miles all over the country for the next eight months as they compete in more than 35 tournaments that will eventually lead them to the 2012 PGA Championship on Kiawah’s Ocean Course this August.

The Kiawah Conservancy Shares Its Thanks for 2011 Support
Each year, the Kiawah Conservancy hosts its Painted Bunting Gala to show the organization’s appreciation for the continued support of donors. The Sustainability Institute presents “A Night For Our Future”

Fall Festival at Freshfields Village Welcomes Cooler Days
Cooler days and nights have arrived on Charleston’s sea islands, and Freshfields Village thinks that’s worth celebration. Mark the arrival of the season at the Fall Festival, Friday, October 7th through the Sunday, October 9th. Plenty of family fun is scheduled over the weekend, which will wrap up with the American Music Celebration, a series of free, national roots music acts.

Kiawah Island Resident Brings Art, Music, and Dance Together For One Special Night
A very special event that merges art, dance, and music together into a vibrant and exciting artistic production will soon take place on Kiawah. "Scenic Views from Kiawah” on Friday, September 16th will delve into the creation of Off the Wall & Onto the Stage, a ballet production that takes the art of famed Lowcountry and Gullah artist Jonathan Green and brings it to life through the choreography of William Starrett and the music of Marlena Smalls.

When Keegan Bradley earned his PGA card back in November at the Nationwide Tour Championship at another Charleston area golf course, he probably couldn’t imagine that eight months later, he would be competing in his first PGA Championship – let alone winning it. But that’s exactly what he accomplished on Sunday at the 2011 championship as he beat Jason Dufner in an exciting three-hole playoff.

Kiawah Island Real Estate Welcomes Hundreds to Tour of Homes
Over the July 4th holiday weekend, Kiawah Island Real Estate welcomed hundreds of new and old friends to the annual Summer Tour of Homes. Ten homes were on the tour, a variety with ocean, marsh, and golf views, traditional and contemporary architecture, and one new, recently completed home. Approximately 250 individuals visited each home, while more than 300 concluded the day with a summer cocktail reception at KIRE’s Main Sales Office.
