    New Homes and Neighbors Bring New Energy to Kiawah’s Cassique

    In the last couple of years, Kiawah’s Cassique neighborhood has experienced success during an otherwise difficult time in the real estate market. In August 2010, KIRE released nine homesites on Tom Watson Lane. This initial release sparked such overwhelming buyer interest that the number of available homesites was increased to 15 to meet demand. Tom Watson Lane completely sold out by the spring of 2011, prompting KIRE’s release of Dennison Lane, a new collection of four homesites located in the heart of the community.

    Despite the media’s tendency to report gloomy economic news, there are several great reasons to buy real estate and to do it now. The current price, selection, and value in the Kiawah villa market is more competitive than it’s been in eight years.  Also, the number of single-family home transactions on Kiawah is up 19% over last year, while the available inventory in the single-family home category is down 25% since its peak in 2009.
