   BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival

   

   Praised as one of the top five food and wine festivals in the U.S. by Forbes Traveler, the BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival will take over the Lowcountry beginning March 4 until March 7. Now in its fifth year, this four-day festival showcases the talents of the world’s most celebrated chefs, culinary professionals, and winemakers. Attendees and supporters of the festival, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, lend a hand in raising charitable donations for Louie’s Kids, Slow Food Charleston, and area culinary-related scholarships.

   Charleston, SC Named No. 2 Top American Destination

   

   For the sixteenth consecutive year, readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine honored Charleston as a Top 10 travel destination in the U.S. Charleston was honored with a No. 2 slot - topped only by San Francisco. Last year, Charleston ranked No. 3 in the poll behind San Francisco and New York City. This year, New York takes the No. 3 slot, right behind the Holy City.
