Sport of Kings Come to Kiawah Island
Polo, considered one of the oldest team sports in the world, is widely believed to have originated from Central Asian Nomads. From here the aristocratic game developed to promote equestrian and military skills. It was ranked next to battle itself, as the ultimate test of the prowess of princes and warriors. On September 20, regional polo athletes will square-off on the sand in an exhibition at Kiawah's Beach Club.
