American Cancer Society Honors KP
Kiawah Partners | Kiawah Partners
Kiawah Partners recently received the Top Gun award from the American Cancer Society for their fundraising efforts. In 2009, KP employees generously donated $25,703.80 to support the work of the American Cancer Society.

The Top Gun Award is given to the team that raises $25,000 or more during their community's campaign. KP was one of only three teams in Charleston County to receive this honor, and their donation helped Charleston County raise more than $177,000 in 2009.
KP’s fundraising success is due in part to the events and activities created to support ACS. From lunch-hour cook-outs to bike relay races to dunking fellow employees into an icy tank of water, team KP had more than a little fun raising money for a good cause. Sasanqua Spa treated employees to reduced rate services and employees participated in a 50/50 raffle and a 5K run and walk at The Sports Pavilion. For the grand finale, KP hosted Kiawah for the Cure—a night of festivities with wine tasting, live music, and a silent auction held at FreshFields Village.
Employees from across the different KP departments came together to make the contribution possible. Representatives from Kiawah Island Real Estate, the Kiawah Island Club, St. John’s Properties, Kiawah Island Utility Company, and Facilities Service rallied their colleagues and encouraged participation.
Employees are already starting to consider which charity they will support for 2010. Once ideas are submitted and a charity chosen, fund-raising efforts will begin again in the Fall. Kiawah Partners is always looking for dedicated employees. If you are interested in joining the team, visit http://www.HRJobCenter.com/Kiawah for a list of available job openings.
