BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival

Visiting | Charleston

Praised as one of the top five food and wine festivals in the U.S. by Forbes Traveler, the BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival will take over the Lowcountry beginning March 4 until March 7. Now in its fifth year, this four-day festival showcases the talents of the world’s most celebrated chefs, culinary professionals, and winemakers. Attendees and supporters of the festival, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, lend a hand in raising charitable donations for Louie’s Kids, Slow Food Charleston, and area culinary-related scholarships.

“The goal for our fifth year anniversary was to expand our events beyond the downtown area,” said Executive Director, Angel Postell. “Guests will have the opportunity to see one of America’s oldest landscaped gardens at Middleton Plantation, enjoy the city skyline from the new waterfront park in neighboring Mt. Pleasant, and take a culinary journey through Wadmalaw Island.”

The Lowcountry has exceptional chefs, a celebrated food history, and a distinctive regional cuisine unlike any other. John Alex Floyd, editor in chief of Southern Living magazine claimed that “Charleston has become the culinary capital of the South...” The BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy all the Lowcountry has to offer.
