Excitement Builds For 2012 On Kiawah Island

In 2007, the PGA of America announced that it would host the 2012 PGA Championship on Kiawah’s acclaimed Ocean Course. The intermittent years have brought tremendous growth to the Island and now, as next summer’s PGA approaches, we’re more than prepared to welcome the attendant media spotlight. We approach the New Year with great enthusiasm for what the coming months will bring to Kiawah.

The new River Course Clubhouse at the Kiawah Island Club will open its doors in 2012 to Club Members for the first time since a fire destroyed the previous structure in 2009. With an additional 4,000 square feet, the new Clubhouse will allow for larger social gatherings, more comfortable men’s and women’s locker rooms, a mixed grill and pub, and an expanded golf pro shop.

In the early months of 2012, Kiawah Partners and Kiawah Island Real Estate will announce the release of long-held property on the far eastern edge of the Kiawah and adjacent to The Ocean Course. Some of the Island’s most exquisite property will soon be available so stay tuned for details.
