Free, Outdoor Music Series at Freshfields Village Provides Fun for the Family

Freshfields Village’s free, live music series continues to entertain locals and visitors. Music on the Green takes place Fridays through Labor Day from 6-9 p.m.

July 22: Shrimp City Slim
Songwriter and musician, Gary Erwin, will perform “Lowcountry Blues,” a combination of post-modern blues and various musical flavors heard on the Carolina coast (a genre created by Shrimp City Slim)

July 29: The Coconut Groove Band

Performing easy listening, soul, rhythm & blues, island theme, rock & roll, funk and blues

August 5: Hot Sauce

High energy stage presence and crowd interaction assures a great time for everyone!  Hot Sauce plays dance, rock, funk and Top 40 tunes.

August 12: Men of Distinction
With help from the audience, Men of Distinction perform beach music, rhythm & blues, soul, country and big band/swing material.
 
August 19: Ocean Drive Party Band

This talented group of musicians feature the sounds of a saxophone, trumpet, keyboards, organ piano, congas, bass guitar, two guitar pickers and four vocalists. Playing oldies, Carolina beach and shag, R&B, classic rock, funk, soul, country, doo-wop, ODPB is sure to keep the crowd dancing.

August 26: Travis Allison Band
The band’s soulful three-part vocal harmonies, piano, organ, electric and acoustic guitars, harmonica, drums and bass fuse to create a live Americana rock n’ roll show with a variety of original material and cover tunes.

September 2: The David Archer Band
Performing R&B, Motown and other dance music with a female vocalist

Food and drinks are available for purchase, and don’t forget a beach chair or blanket. We’ll see you on the Green!
