Freshfields Village Holiday Festival

If you're looking for a way to escape the holiday rush, join us on the Village Green for the annual Freshfields Village Holiday Festival. Since it began, the Holiday Festival continues to delight people of all ages during the season of enchantment and celebration. It’s a weekend filled with sparkling holiday lights, the smell of balsam in the air, themed events, and a way to create special memories with family and friends.

The Holiday Festival runs from November 27 through November 29. Admission is free, as the Festival is sponsored by the merchants of Freshfields Village. On Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, children will find joy in a bouncing jump castle, getting their face painted, or creating special handmade holiday gifts at the crafts table. Food vendors will have something to please any palate.

If you’re already tired of the Chipmunks Christmas Song, you’ll be thrilled to meet the Big Bang Boom band. This group is led by Chuck Folds, younger brother of piano rocker Ben Folds. Together with Steve Willard and Eddie Walker, the Big Bang Boom band is an interactive children’s musical group that aims to give parents something to listen to besides Disney and the Wiggles.

Children will love to sing and dance with Big Bang Boom on Friday, but the Holiday Festival wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa. Old Saint Nick will be at the Village on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Children are welcome to take a picture with Santa and share their Christmas wishes.

The Freshfields Village Holiday Festival has evolved into one of the Island’s most beloved annual holiday events, offering the opportunity to complete holiday shopping in one location while enjoying music, food, and entertainment with loved ones in a relaxed environment.
