Kiawah Island Real Estate Welcomes Hundreds to Tour of Homes

Over the July 4th holiday weekend, Kiawah Island Real Estate welcomed hundreds of new and old friends to the annual Summer Tour of Homes. Ten homes were on the tour, a variety with ocean, marsh, and golf views, traditional and contemporary architecture, and one new, recently completed home. Approximately 250 individuals visited each home, while more than 300 concluded the day with a summer cocktail reception at KIRE’s Main Sales Office.

Those guests who visited six or more of the homes were included in the highly anticipated drawing to win a fabulous Private Dinner Party for up to eight people. The five-course dinner, prepared by a Kiawah Island Club Chef in the winner’s home includes a wine pairing, as well as flowers and a post-party clean up provided by KIRE. This year’s lucky winners were Paula and Mark Griebaum, property owners who hail from Downer’s Grove, IL and were here visiting their Kiawah home to celebrate the holiday weekend.

Both Paula and Mark are heavily involved in education, with Paula helping children acquire the extra attention needed to make sure they are reading at their grade level, and Mark as president of TCS Educational System’s Online Services group. They have two daughters, Lauren, who lives in New York City and is soon to be married, and Lindsey, a senior at the University of South Carolina, where she is majoring in Hospitality Management specializing in Club Management. Lindsey has even spent the last two years working as the Food and Beverage Manager at the Kiawah Island Club.  

“We love Kiawah and have been property owners for the past eight years. We so look forward to being able to spend even more time here,” said Paula, “creating lasting memories with our family at our Cotton Hall home.”
