Realtors Nationwide Report Positive Trends for Vacation Homes

There comes a time in our lives when we deserve a vacation; and at other times, we just need one! According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors in May, more than 80% of second-home buyers report they bought for personal reasons – to live in the house and enjoy it.

Many well respected real estate and financial publications tout that vacation and luxury home sales are showing improvement. In a recent article from the Wall Street Journal, “It’s Time To Buy That House,” they note, “In general, properties situated in prime locations – on the water or near a ski slope – are selling well. Geography is the best guide to today’s vacation markets.”
