Start Your Summer with a Weekend Concert Series

Freshfields Village will officially welcome summer at Kiawah with a Memorial Day Weekend Celebration, featuring three nights of live music on the green and fun for the entire family. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy evenings under the stars as we celebrate the new season.

May 28, 2010, 6-9 pm
The weekend begins with a performance by Men of Distinction. Back by popular demand, Men of Distinction performs beach music, rhythm and blues, soul, country, and big band/swing favorites. Crowd participation is their specialty, so be ready to become a part of the show. 

May 29, 2010, 6-9 pm
The Great Society Band has an extensive repertoire ranging from the 1930s classics to current popular favorites. This five-member ensemble includes lead vocals from all members, accompanied by professional arrangements. Featuring timeless jazz standards, classic Motown, and beach tunes, the Great Beach Society will make you wanna “Shout.”

May 30, 2010, 6-9 pm
The weekend musical event culminates with a performance by Congdon & Company, a regular favorite of Freshfields’ Music on the Green led by John Congdon. The band performs a variety of vibrant tunes from pop, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, jazz, and beach music.

Java Java will host a hot dog cart outside the shop and beer and wine will be available for purchase there as well. Everyone is welcome to bring coolers to the concerts.
