Always one of the most popular seasons of the year on Kiawah, fall brings to the Island not only beautiful natural landscapes but also fun, exciting, and diverse events for residents and guests. Fall 2011 is no exception as we head, full force, into a busy season for all!
Freshfields Village’s Dogtoberfest
Saturday, October 22nd
3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Freshfields Village will be hosting its 5th Annual Dogtoberfest on Saturday, October 22nd on the Village Green. Guests are invited to bring their furry friends to this wine tasting pet expo, which will benefit local animal rescues. Rescue groups will be on site to answer questions and show off their selection of adorable, adoptable pups. In addition to the wine tasting, live music and pet vendors will be on site throughout the afternoon. And new this year – a Doggie in Disguise Costume Contest! Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the events, and include a commemorative wine glass. For more information, click here.
An Evening with Rudy Mancke

Join the Kiawah Conservancy for a Special Conservation Matters Presentation: An Evening with Rudy Mancke. Naturalist Rudy Mancke has been with NatureScene, produced by South Carolina ETV, since its inception in 1978. Outfitted with little more than a cameraman, a willing co-host and an enormous sense of curiosity, Rudy Mancke introduced millions of viewers to a natural world of wonder that the average person might easily overlook.
The television host and previous curator of the South Carolina State Museum of Natural History will discuss and share his insight into the natural world with Kiawah residents and friends. Earl Klugh's Weekend of Jazz at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Since 2004, Grammy winning guitarist Earl Klugh has brought together world-renowned artists with jazz enthusiasts for his one-of-a-kind weekend getaways at two five-star, five-diamond properties: The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
The 2nd annual Weekend of Jazz at Kiawah Island will be held November 10-12, 2011. Freshfields Village Holiday Festival
November 25 – 27, 2011
Join Freshfields Village as we kick off the holiday season! Sponsored by the Town of Kiawah, this fun-filled festival will provide entertainment for the entire family. On Friday, November 25th kids can enjoy a bouncing jump castle, face painting, ride the children’s train, and create special handmade holiday gifts. Kiawah Island Real Estate Fall Tour of Homes

Each fall, Kiawah Island Real Estate opens the doors of some of its premier home listings for property owners and guests. This year’s tour features a variety of the Island’s latest real estate offerings in a number of different neighborhoods and at various price points, each with its own unique view – from golf to lagoon to ocean.
Guests are invited to tour the homes and then enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Main Sales Center afterwards. Those who visit eight or more properties are eligible to win Saturday Grounds Passes to the highly anticipated PGA Tour Championship at Kiawah in 2012. The 34th Annual Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon

It’s time to put on those running shoes and take off at the 34th Annual Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon on Saturday, December 10, 2011. More than 3,200 athletes from around the country will compete in this year’s half and full marathon, which is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. There are still spots to register, though the marathon is expected to fill to capacity, so click here to register.
